The 30th edition of the much awaited Maharashtra State Police Games 2018 was hosted by the NaviMumbai police commissionerate between Jan06- Jan11. It was for the first time that the Navi Mumbai police commissionerate had the opportunity to host the event. Amidst great fanfare, the atmosphere reverberating with energy the grand event was formally inaugurated on Jan09 by Devendra Fadnavis- Hon. Chief Minister (Maharashtra)in the presence of his cabinet colleagues and Satish Mathur Director General of Police at Central Park Amphitheatre in Kharghar.
The action packed event which had 14 disciplines on offer for both men and women in uniform had over 3500 champions from the state police slogging it out for top position. The winners of the games were set to enter All India Police Games.The closing ceremony, a grand event came to a close on January11 in the presence of K.Vidyasagar Rao, Hon.Governor of Maharashtra at Police HQ grounds at Roadpali, Navi Mumbai.
